

Our entire run of the Colgate University student newspaper, from the earliest, published November 2, 1846, through April 22, 2010. The Colgate University Student Newspaper has gone through several title changes. This collection includes access to all of the titles, which are:
Hamilton Student (November 2, 1846 - March 1, 1847)

This collection includes records and publications related to the history of the university, currently a digitized copy of the Colgate history and an index to the Madisonensis.
Howard D. Williams wrote A History of Colgate University 1819-1969 to mark the sesquicentennial anniversary of the school's founding.
A digital collection covering the Hamilton Republican from 1917 to 1919, the years of the Influenza pandemic.

The digitized postcards in this collection showcase the campus and the surrounding area as they were in the early part of the 20th century.

First Baptist Church of Hamilton, founded in 1796, is the "mother church of Colgate University." The 13 founders were members of this church when they decided to form a Baptist seminary in Hamilton. This collection contains text and images of important documents in the church's history.
The Libraries have begun to digitize archival collections of interest to students, faculty, alumni, and others in order to best support the curriculum and to make Colgate history more broadly accessible.
